Latest News:
Lyon's Pharmacy LLC was recently purchased by Syed Aamir. Aamir is no stranger to Havre de Grace. In 2004 he worked with us, filling in for Dick while he was recovering from surgery. If you saw Aamir's smile back then, you'll recognize him immediately.
Aamir is the owner of Medicap Pharmacy in Bel Air. 410-638-2730. Aamir has owned the pharmacy for six years, offering excellent pharmaceutical services and products including customized compounds: creams, capsules, elixers, flavorings, when requested by your physician. They also carry veterinary medicines at Medicap in Bel Air as well.
He brings his knowledge, work ethic and smile to Havre de Grace. Dick, who will continue to work (though he's certainly earned his retirement), will be keeping a watchful eye on Aamir. (just kidding, Aamir)
We also wish Dominic Gasdia much success in his new position in Elkton.

Teaming UP
...with your pharmacists!
Who can you turn to with questions about your medicines? Your Good Neighbor Pharmacist is here to help answer questions about your medications, and much more.
The role of your pharmacist goes well beyond counting tablets and pouring liquids. For each prescription dispensed, your pharmacist must check to see that the information provided by your doctor is complete, that the new medication will not interact with other medications you take, that the medication and dosage are appropriate for your health condition, and that you understand the proper way to store and take the medication.
Before taking any nonprescription medication or herbal remedy, check with your health care provider and pharmacist. Although over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and herbal supplements don't require a prescription, they can adversely interact with your prescription medications or seriously affect another health condition.
When looking for an OTC product, ask your Good Neighbor Pharmacist for his or her recommendations. Your pharmacist's knowledge isn't limited to medications. Among other things, he or she can:
- Offer advice on how to use test kits properly
- Answer first aid questions
- Provide referrals to a variety of health care programs
- Help educate you on how to improve your diet
- Answer questions about diabetic supplies
- Provide educational information on smoking cessation
You probably visit your pharmacist more often than you do any other member of your health care team. So, be sure to ask any questions you may have to make the most of each visit.
